Intimate Skin Lightning is the skin lightning of intimate areas such as the vaginal area, anus, underarms, under the breasts, inner thighs and groin areas and also knees and elbows.
This skin treatment has been a secret for actors and actresses for many years but it is now becoming popular for everyone. Many people are unaware that with skin treatments, micro-needling, and other common treatments, intimate skin lightning can be achieved. We are now offering this innovative treatment at Senses.
Why does the skin in intimate areas become dark? Intimate areas are usually covered continually by a layer, or several layers, of clothing all the time. They are also in constant close contact with other areas of the body. Heat, close contact, and rubbing against clothing layers cause these areas of skin to darken over time. As a result, a concentration of melanin, the primary human skin tone factor, forms. This results in a darker area than the surrounding skin. This is completely natural but it can cause people to feel less confident about their appearance.
Intimate area lightning is easy and the results are overwhelming even after a few treatments. If the skin tone of certain private areas of your body is not allowing you to take full advantage of the summer season, a lightning regimen could be the answer. This treatment is extremely popular, and it is an extremely powerful way of getting the perfect summer body. Having a flawless skin tone is essential to looking and feeling your best. You can combine it with a Bikini wax for the perfect summer body. At Senses we offer numerous services to help you feel beautiful and confident specially during the summer months. From full body waxing, complete hair services, nails, and lashes. Call us to schedule your appointmets.

Hair botox and keratin are two of the most popular treatments used for straightening your hair. While they both help to remove frizz and add shine to your hair, there are some differences. At Senses we now offer full hair services which includes color, highlights, blowouts, makeup as well as keratin and botox.
Hair botox is a chemical free, deep conditioning treatment that coats the surface of the hair and helps fill in split ends. Hair botox eliminates frizz and helps to restore and reconstruct your hair, the anti-aging hair treatment acts like filler (think botox for your face), by filling in any gaps in the hair fibers, leaving it silky, shiny, and more youthful-looking. Hair botox is suitable for all hair types. Especially for those people with dry, frizzy, dull, fine hair that needs more body and shine. Hair botox offers a semi-permanent result and typically last between 2-4 months.
A keratin treatment (also known as a Brazillian blowdry) is a chemical treatment which smooths hair and gets rid of frizz. It will help curly or naturally wavy hair become straighter and smoother. Keratin treatments are best for those with thick, curly hair making the hair more manageable and styling easier. Keratin treatments offer a semi-permanent result and last on average of 3 months.

]]>Not everyone is blessed with naturally long, strong nails. For many years, acrylic nails were the only alternative to achieving long nails that lasted weeks at a time. The problem with acrylics was the potential weaking of your natural nails with prolonged use, the harsh chemicals, the order, and the dust created from all drilling that needs to be done. Don’t get me wrong, Acrylics are still extremely popular and with proper application, there shouldn’t be any damage to your nails. But now, there is a new option. Aprés gel nails is a new and revolutionary nail extension system. The nail tips are created from soft gel formulas and have easy soak-off capabilities. They are fast and easy to apply. There is no filing needed, no dust, no order and they don’t damage your natural nail. This is a great alternative to traditional acrylic nails.
Just “press” on and you are ready to go. Think of Aprés nails as a sophisticated press-on made completely out of gel. Unlike acrylic, which is a hard tip applied directly to the tip of your nail, the Aprés nail covers the entire nail bed, allowing for natural nail growth and less damage to your natural nail.
Like Acrylic nails, your Aprés nails can be long and dramatic, or short and natural. Any shape and length can be achived with Aprés nails. You can also add gel polish and nail art to them.
At Senses, we are a full beauty lounge offering all nail services, full body waxing, skin care, massages, couples massages, hair, and lash lifts, lash extensions. We also offer numerous packages to help you save, from blowout packages to brazilian bikini packages to skin care and massage memeberships. ]]>Of all the hair removal techniques out there, Waxing and Shaving seem to be the most popular. Shaving is still considered the fastest and most economical method but when you weigh all the pros and cons, waxing is your best option.
Waxing is a form of exfoliation. When you wax you don’t only remove the hair you also remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. Shaving is a quick fix but it only removes the hair that is visible on the surface. Therefore, the hair grows back quickly and it will be thick and coarse. Waxing removes the hair at its root allowing for the hair to grow back slower. Hair that is regularly waxed becomes weaker over time and may even stop growing. Hair may take several weeks to start growing back and you will start to notice that hair is thinner and easier to pull. Waxing therefore also becomes less uncomfortable.
One of the main benefits of waxing is that you will avoid all razor cuts. You will also avoid the itchy, razor bumps that develop from continuous shaving. Visiting the beach after shaving can be an uncomfortable experience as your skin will itch, burn, and have embarrassing razor bumps.
At Senses, we are full body waxing specialist. We specialize if all areas of the body and offer all types of bikini wax. From waxing your bikini line to leaving it all bear with a Full Brazilian Wax and butt strip, we have you covered. We also have a proprietary wax made specially for us in Spain. Our waxing specialist are all state licensed and fully trained with the “Senses” method of waxing that allows for a less painful, more enjoyable experience.
Senses offers many packages to help you save. We have a “Basic Package” which includes eyebrows, upper lip and underarms for $35. An “Essentials Package” which includes a full bikini, lower legs, and underarms for $65. An “Indulgence Package” which includes the basics plus a full bikini and full legs for $105 . We all know that skin cancer is caused by the sun but not everyone knows that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. One in Five Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer, and the statistic is only getting worse
What most people don’t realize is that sunscreen should be used daily, even on cloudy days, even when it’s raining, even if you are staying home or running a quick errand, even if you will be in your office all day. Sunscreen should be worn to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer.
The sun’s ultraviolet rays is the number one cause of premature aging. Wearing sunscreen everyday helps slow down this process and keeps your skin looking younger and healthier. It also helps prevent uneven skin tone. For those people that tend to freckle and develop sun spots for the sun’s exposure, wearing daily sunscreen dramatically reduces this. Sun damage occurs over your lifetime and shows up as you age. Aside from wearing sunscreen daily, at Senses we offer different skin care treatments that help reduce the signs of sun damage. Our Professional Peel is an amazing treatment to reduce sun damage and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Our Microneedling (Dermapen) helps stimulate collagen production and dramatically reduce the sings of aging. Our Hydra Facial also helps reduces the signs of aging and leaves your skin hydrated and glowing. For the best results, skin care treatments should be a part of your regulat skin care regimen. At Senses we offer numerous treatments as well as monthly memeberships.
There are two types of sunscreen: Physical and Chemical
Physical Sunblock sits on top of your skin and acts like a shield to deflect the sun. Since it doesn’t need to be absorbed by the skin in can be applied right before sun exposure. The main ingredients are zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Babies and those with sensitive skin should chose a physical sunscreen. Physical sunscreens are heavier and tend to last longer
Chemical Sunblock is absorbed by the skin and therefore should be applied at least 20 min before sun exposure. Once it is absorbed by your skin, the sunscreen acts like a sponge to absorb the sun’s rays and turn it into heat which is then released by your skin. Chemical sunscreens are light weight and water resistant and therefore are great for sports activiets, pool days, and beach days. The main ingredients are oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene.
During all our skin care treatments at Senses, you will leave with sunscreen applied to your skin. Our skin therapist will apply the appropriate sunscreen after your treatment.
It doesn’t matter which type of sunscreen you choose. At Senses we can analyze your skin and help you choose the right sunscreen for your skin. We carry both physical and chemical sunblock. Call us to schedule an appointment or a free skin consultationMicroneedling or Dermapen is a specialized skin care treatment that can improve fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and large pores.
How Microneedling works is by creating micro injuries just beneath the skin's surface, thereby inducing the body to respond by producing more collagen in the treated area.
The Dermapen (microneedling device) is covered with hundreds of tiny needles. As the device rolls along the skin, the needles cause tiny holes on the dermis and epidermis. The injury is minimal but enough to stimulating the production of collagen and elastin that rejuvenates the skin.
Microneedling is best performed by a trained professional who can analyze your skin condition and recommend the best treatment as well as the number of treatments needed to see the best results. At Senses, our skin care therapist are all state licensed and have received all courses and certifications needed to be specialized in this skin care treatment. The Microneedling treatment should also be performed in a licensed salon or spa with FDA-approved, sterile equipment.
At Senses, our Microneedling treatment consists of a full facial that includes a double cleanse, mask, and moisturizer. The whole treatment generally takes about an hour.
A topical anesthetic may be used but generally the discomfort is minimal and anesthetic is not needed.
Microneedling is an extremely effective yet economical skin care treatment. You may see results even after the first session but after several session are needed to see a significant improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, reduced acne scars, more even skin tone, reduction in pore size, and improved elasticity. At Senses we also treat stretch marks and hair loss with microneedling treatments.

This new and innovative treatment at Senses can be divided into three steps: cleanse and exfoliate, extract, and hydrate. This 60 min treatment offers amazing results and has absolutely no down time. It is soothing, refreshing, and very effective.”
The first step to a HydraFacial is to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. In this step the skin is cleansed and exfoliated the HydraFacial patented technology. This is followed by the extraction process. The HydraFacial uses a vacuum-like tip to cleanse deep down into your pores. Unlike traditional extractions, it is less painful and more effective. The last step is to hydrate. This is done with special serums targeted to your specific skin condition

The skin is the largest organ on the body and we should be taking care of it properly. Healthy skin that looks young, radiant and flawless can offer you great confidence and it is better than any filter you may have. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Fortunately, an effective daily skin care routine is all that is needed to maintain healthy, good-looking skin at all times.
Step 1: Cleanse Your Face
The first step to a proper skin care routine is to cleanse your face. You should be using a proper cleanser suited for your skin type. Cleansing removes, dirt, debris, and makeup that will clog your pores. It is important to note that hard to remove makeup should be removed with a makeup remover.
Step 2: Exfoliate
Exfoliating the skin is a very important step in a proper skin care routine. It is important to use a proper yet gentle exfoliating product. Depending on the exfoliator you are using it can be done daily or 2-3 per week. It is important that you are removing all the excess dead skin cells from your skin that make your skin look dull and cause acne and breakouts. Exfoliating also helps prepare the skin for better product absorption.
Step 3: Tone
Once cleansing has been done and all your makeup has been removed, your face is ready to be toned. This is an important step that most people like to skip. Toning the face helps remove any left-over makeup, oil left on the skin as well as well as restore your skin’s PH level.
Step 4: Moisturize
Next up is moisturizing. A moisturizer can help protect your skin against the environment, especially for those with sensitive skin. It can provide your skin with the daily hydration it needs. It is important that you are using the proper moisturizer for your skin. Even a person with oily skin should be using a daily moisturizer. A moisturizer also helps fight the signs of aging and reduces wrinkles and blemishes.
Step 5: Always Use SPF
The sun’s UVA/UVB rays are the biggest contributing factors to our skin’s aging. Sun exposure leads to premature aging, sun spots, hyperpigmentation, dry skin and most seriously, skin cancer. To counteract the harmful effects of the sun, it is recommended to always use sunscreen your face, as well as on other parts of the body that will be exposed to sunlight. Avoiding the sun between 10 am and 2 pm is also a good idea. A broad spectrum sunscreen is best.
Taking care of your skin can be as simple as practicing a series of skin care routine steps every day. Visit us at Senses for a free skin analysis and to learn about what skin care products are best for you.
At senses, all our skin care treatments incorporate these steps. Everything from our European Facial, to our specialized Hydrafacial include cleansing, toning, exfoliating, moisturizing, and protecting the skin with an SPF.
Even if you feel that you have a good skin care routine, your complexion may still look dull. This may mean you should be incorporating a regular exfoliation into your skin care routine. Two popular exfoliating techniques we perform at Senses are chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Both procedures help remove dead skin cells but they are very different in the skin conditions they target, how they’re performed and what you can expect afterwards.
A chemical peel involves applying a powerful chemical solution formulated to peel off the top layers of skin. The treatment resurfaces your skin, making the texture feel smooth and the appearance look more youthful. A peel will safely remove the dull outer layers of your skin which in turn increases cell turn to reveal a smooth, radiant complexion.
Immediately after your peel at Senses, your skin may appear red and flushed, it is normal to experience dryness, redness and tightness, as well as some peeling or flaking. You may also notice a more pronounced appearance of pigmentation as it rises to the skin’s surface.
The post treatment care will be explained in detail by our estheticians. Clients will notice dramatic results in skin quality, texture and tone within three treatments which is ideally what is recommended.
A microdermabrasion is a form of manual exfoliation where your dead surface skin cells are physically removed by your skin care therapist using a handheld device. This device will have diamond tips or crystals used to exfoliate and a vacuum to remove the debris. The procedure is not painful and may feel like “light sanding” of the skin. After your microdermabrasion you may experience redness and tingling. Your post care treatment will be very similar to that of a chemical peel.
Both types of exfoliating techniques can offer amazing results.
They both improve the appearance of dull skin, uneven tone and texture, age spots and dark spots. One major difference between chemical peels and microdermabrasion is that in addition to exfoliating, peels can also help stimulate collagen production. So, if you want to target aging concerns, a chemical peel might be the way to go. Chemical peels also penetrate the skin deeper and therefore are a little more invasive. Microdermabrasion is less invasive and are better suited for those with sensitive skin. Visit us at Senses for a free skin analysis and consultation to see what exfoliating technique is right for your skin.
]]>Being in the beauty industry for over 15 years, I’ve become a big advocate for regular, professional skin care treatments. Think of it as routine maintenance, without consistency you won’t see the results. You can’t expect to get in shape by working out once per month. Consistence is key. Receiving regular skin care treatments will help your skin look and feel younger. Facial treatments can help slow down the aging process and prevent the appearance of wrinkles, giving you a healthy, radiant glow.
Getting a regular facial every month doesn’t have to break the bank. At Senses, we offer a variety of skin care treatments for all budgets. Our European Facial starts at $49 for first time clients. We also offer monthly memberships and packages to help you save.
At-home treatments are just not the same. It’s hard to do extractions at home and a lot of over the counter products tend to dry out our skin. The most effective way to get rid of blackheads and deeply cleanse your skin is by having a skin care therapist (esthetician) perform extractions and exfoliation. Estheticians have special tools they use to open pores and “really get in there.” The exfoliation, extraction, massage, steam and mask application during a facial treatment leads to renewed skin.
No matter how amazing your skin care routine is at home, nothing compares to the results you will see from a microdermabrasion, microneedling, and chemical peels to mention a few. And spa-quality skin care products are made with higher concentrations of active ingredients that penetrate deeper and work better than anything you can buy over the counter.
Our skin care therapist are experts, they do this for a living. They know how to diagnose and treat your skin conditions. Your skin care therapist will be able to recommend what skin care treatments are best for you, they will also recommend products for your home care regimen. A lot of times we are using the wrong products at home, which in time, cause more harm than good. Once in a month take time for yourself, not only will it be benefice for your skin but also for your mind and spirit. It’s never too early or too late to start taking good care of your skin!
